If the idea of chasing the sun across the horizon from sun up until sun down leaves you breathless and yearning for more, then the southern Caribbean is the place you should be. Cue the calypso music, lather on some sunscreen, and set sail on board Norwegian Cruise Line’s mega ship, Epic, and you’ll do just that!
Voted the Caribbean's Leading Cruise Line by World Travel Awards for nine years running, Norwegian offers a wide variety of Caribbean cruise packages and ships including an exhilarating week-long discovery of Southern Caribbean wonders on board Epic’s 7-Day Caribbean Cruise.
The journey includes six ports of call beginning and ending in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the second oldest city in the Americas. Founded in 1521, San Juan's picturesque cobblestone streets, plazas, and chapels reflect its Spanish heritage while boasting fine beaches, lush rainforests, verdant mountainsides, impressive forts, and a lovely tropical climate.
After a day at sea you’ll arrive at the bustling port town of Oranjestad, Aruba. Incredible white sands and cobalt blue seas make the small island of Aruba a popular destination and Oranjestad’s sherbet-colored Dutch colonial buildings, draped in bougainvillea, oleander, and hibiscus are quite picturesque.
Next up is the quaint harbor town of Willemstad, Curaçao, with its colorful Dutch architecture reminiscent of Old Amsterdam. Then it’s on to Kralendijk, the capital of Bonaire, an island nestled in the Caribbean Netherlands offering an abundance of water activities from coral reef diving to kayaking, catamaran sailing, and 4X4 safari adventures.
On day six, it’s Castries, St. Lucia, a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts, with thriving coral reefs and rainforest preserves. Here you can explore the world's only drive-in volcanic crater at Sulfur Springs or visit the Diamond Botanical Gardens and Falls and the Morne Coubaril Estate.
Basseterre, St. Kitts is the final port of call and though founded by the French in 1627, St. Kitts is a very British paradise where cricket and tea are the norm. The dramatic mixed island landscape is rimmed in gold-sand beaches and dotted with well-preserved plantations left over from when the island was covered with sugar cane.
Epic offers a great array of sumptuous accommodations, from studios designed and priced for the solo traveler, to class-leading cabins and suites, to the elegance and privacy of The Haven. On board, guests will enjoy Freestyle Cruising on a truly grand scale and have the freedom to choose from an unrivalled lineup of dining options, attractions, and land experiences. Awarded Best Cruise Ship Entertainment by Frommer’s, Epic keeps the entertainment bar high, offering two dazzling shows: Burn the Floor and Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.
Norwegian Cruise Line’s seven day, six ports, Caribbean cruise adds up to one amazing vacation. And with 11 sail dates to choose from between January and April, 2023, it truly is a cruise experience of epic proportions!
