Portland is a parish on the northeast coast of the island of Jamaica. It is situated to the north ofSt. Thomasand to the east ofSt. MaryinSurrey County. It is one of the rural areas of Jamaica, containing part of theBlue Mountains, where the Jamaican Marooncommunities ofMoore Townand Charles Town are located. It is well-known among tourists for its superb beaches.
